Before I begin blogging, I figured I’d introduce myself and explain why I’m doing this in the first place! My name is Airin and I’m a currently studying Political Science at the University of California San Diego with hopes of pursuing law or public policy in the future. My projected graduation date is June 2020 and during the semester prior to that, I will be interning for the Scottish Parliament in Edinburgh, UK and blogging about my experience here! Through this experience, I hope to enhance my knowledge on various policies while also improving my research and writing abilities to further the goals of my MSP and his constituency. Interning abroad was made possible for me through various scholarships I received, such as the Cyril Taylor Memorial Scholarship through Fund for Education, so I encourage anyone who’s interested in studying abroad to apply to as many scholarships as possible because there is an abundance out there!
